Waterfront luxury pool with infinity edge at sunset, built by Tortorella in the Hamptons

We serve homeowners, architects, and client management firms who view the pool as a defining feature of the estate, not a concession. Meticulous design. Unmatched execution on the Hamptons' most demanding properties. Finishes and equipment engineered to last as long as the home itself.

What Luxury Means at Tortorella

Luxury is not a finish category. It is a standard of accountability. The clients who hire us for our most ambitious projects are not buying a swimming pool. They are buying the confidence that, on a property with fifty other moving parts, the pool will be the simplest one. They expect complex sites to be solved without drama. They expect details to be anticipated before they become problems. They expect systems, finishes, and construction standards that perform as intended for decades, not seasons. A great pool is beautiful. A truly exceptional pool is predictable. It operates flawlessly, integrates seamlessly with the property, and never becomes the owner's concern. That level of certainty is the product we provide. We have built for some of the East End's most discerning and private clients. You will not find their names in our marketing, because discretion is part of the service. We are not interested in becoming the largest pool builder in the Hamptons. We are interested in being the most trusted. We take on only the projects we know we can execute to the standard our reputation requires. That means disciplined growth, selective partnerships, and an unwavering commitment to quality. The result is simple: fewer projects, more attention, and consistent delivery. Our clients hire us because they value craftsmanship. They return to us because we do what we say we will do.

How a Tortorella Luxury Build Differs

Architect-led Hamptons pool build integrated with the surrounding home

01

Design integration with your architect

We don't fight your architect, we work with them. They own the vision; we own the execution, delivered without friction for the rest of the build.

02

Engineering on complex sites

Waterfront, high water table, historic districts, septic constraints. We have built through every one, and we solve the hard problems before they reach the field.

03

Finish and material specification

Hand-selected stone, custom tile, premium aggregate, integrated water features. We work directly with suppliers and own the spec, assembling a system meant to endure, not just installed.

04

Service for the life of the build

Many of the pools we hand off, we go on to maintain, often for decades. That continuity is built into how we design and build every project.

Premium Pool Features We Build Into Every Project

A luxury pool is the sum of its features, and the judgment behind them. We partner with the leading equipment manufacturers and finish suppliers in the industry, but products alone do not create exceptional results. The difference is in the specification: selecting the right systems, the right materials, and the right details for the property, the site, and the client. We own those decisions from start to finish, because accountability does not end when the equipment is installed. It begins there.

01

Vanishing & infinity edges

Engineered for the East End's complex sightlines. Vanishing-edge engineering done correctly is structurally demanding and visually transformative.

02

Integrated spas

Spas built into the pool perimeter, the deck, or as standalone features, finished to match the pool and running on the same automation system.

03

Premium aggregate finishes

Pebble Tec, Wet Edge, natural stone, Bisazza and Sicis tile. We select every finish to complement the architecture, the landscape, and the experience of the property, balancing aesthetics, durability, and long-term value. The brands matter, but the specification is what makes the difference.

04

BADU swim jets

Counter-current swim systems for properties where the pool needs to function for serious swimming as well as entertaining. We install and service BADU systems on Hamptons properties.

05

Full pool automation

Single-app control of pumps, lighting, heating, chemistry, water features, and spa. Configured during the build, not retrofitted.

06

Sensor-based safety systems

Pool covers, sensor-driven alarms, and child-safety configurations integrated into the architecture rather than added as afterthoughts.

07

Water & fire features

Sheer-descent waterfalls. Architectural scuppers. Fire bowls. Integrated fountain features. The most exceptional pools are remembered for how they feel, not simply how they look. We design water and fire features as extensions of the architecture, carefully balancing movement, reflection, sound, and scale. Every feature is specified during design, coordinated during construction, and executed with the same attention to detail as the pool itself. Nothing added for effect. Everything designed to belong.

08

Custom tile & stone

Hand-set glass tile. Custom mosaics. Natural stone coping. Sourced directly. Specified deliberately. We work with premier suppliers to select materials that complement the architecture, elevate the landscape, and stand the test of time. Because true luxury is not found in a single material, but in how every detail comes together.

09

Premium pool heating

Premium gas heaters, sized for the pool's volume and the property's intended usage pattern.

What Our Clients Say

We have been using Tortorella Service for 7 years now. They completely transformed our old pool and patio into what friends tell us is like a resort. We use full season and off season service and our pool always looks fantastic. The service guys are so knowledgeable and care so much about our pool.

15 years of great service. In addition to great humans, I really appreciate the volume of equipment they have on stock and their relationships with the manufacturers when warranty issues come up. Those warranty claims have come up big for me.

Matthew Daimler

Service client · 15 years

I had a fantastic experience with Tortorella Pools. Their customer service was prompt and clear, and their team was quick and clean — you would never even know they were onsite to service the pool. Thanks to them, we had a wonderful summer.

FAQs

Decisions at this level are typically made by a small group: the homeowner, the architect, and a client management firm. If your question isn't here, your future account contact will walk you through it.

Inquire

We discuss specific ranges during the site visit, where we can see the property and understand the scope. Generally: luxury Hamptons new builds with premium finishes, integrated landscape, and water features sit meaningfully above standard market pricing, but they're also pools designed and built to last decades with the right maintenance. We provide a written budget at proposal stage and report against it monthly during the build.

A premium new build typically runs twelve to eighteen months from contract to swim-ready, depending on scope and finishes. Luxury builds with significant stone work, water features, or integrated landscape can extend to eighteen to twenty-four months. Hamptons permitting cycles vary and we adjust our schedule accordingly. We commit to a timeline at contract and report against it monthly.

We work with your landscape architect. Our role is the pool scope: design, engineering, construction, and finish, executed to their vision and on their schedule. For projects where there isn't yet an architect engaged, we can recommend firms we've worked with on similar projects. We do not insist on a particular partnership; we work with whoever the project calls for.

Premium aggregate (Pebble Tec, PebbleSheen, polished aggregate) for most luxury builds; hand-set glass tile and custom mosaic for spas and feature areas; natural stone coping selected on a project-by-project basis. We work directly with the suppliers and we own the specification, including the responsibility for installation and warranty.

We take on select projects outside our standard East End service area by exception, typically for existing clients or trusted architect partners. The bar for taking on out-of-area work is whether we can hold the same standard of execution and supervision; if we can't, we'd rather decline than dilute.

After the Build

The pool we build is often the pool we service for the next twenty years.

Many of our luxury builds move into our service team's care the day the construction crew leaves. Same in-house people, same single point of contact, same standard, maintained across the life of the pool.
